Yesterday I went to one of my brother’s colleagues who is also heavily into producing music. We might produce some stuff together in the future but for now the goal was just to find out a little bit more about his music and the way he works. In two weeks we will repeat this but then at my place. His setup is amazing with all kinds of audio hardware and instruments and PC’s stacked everywhere. The center piece however is a triple monitor setup which offers an unbelievable amount of screen real estate (excellent for gaming too but you will need some pretty serious power to light it up).
Turns out it’s also not really very hard to setup – you just need three monitors and a magic box called the Triple Head 2Go. I am going to want one of these puppies at work too! Maybe a triple head is overkill but at least a Dual Head 2Go units would be a great investment.
