Thanks Shakira, due to your excellent singing, backup choir and steady pace I was able to fabricate a reasonable remix using an acapella version of Whenever Wherever<\/em> in just a few hours. I have seen a few (supposedly) acapella tracks but yours was definitely the easiest one to work with.<\/p>\n

For the uninitiated, here’s a quick overview to basic remixing:<\/p>\n

  1. Download acapella<\/li>\n
  2. Find beat (use tapping)<\/li>\n
  3. Import in host<\/li>\n
  4. Find triads on vocals<\/li>\n
  5. Cut vocals in usable pieces<\/li>\n
  6. Go crazy with melody and fx (reverb, delay, filters)<\/li>\n
  7. Render and release<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Stay tuned for the release of the remix. It will be completely illegal and I will release a host of other somewhat-done productions that have been lying around for ages at the same time. I just hope sectionz<\/a> will be able to cope because it seems to be down an awfully lot the last few weeks.<\/p>\n
